Our team always looks forward to meeting new patients. In order to start this appointment there may be some x-rays needed for Dr. Watson to determine the needs for the patient. Prior to your appointment we will contact your general dentist to see if they have the necessary x-rays. During your initial visit Dr. Watson will do an orthodontic evaluation to determine your or your child's need for treatment. It is of great importance when scheduling an appointment for a child that a parent or legal guardian accompanies the child. This first visit usually will take about 30 to 60 minutes. We know that you may have many questions, and we will we make sure to answer all your questions during this visit. Here are some of the questions you may have:
- What are my payment options?
- Does my insurance cover the full treatment?
- What type of braces will I get?
- Do I really need this treatment now? Can I wait?
- Do I have to have any permanent teeth removed?
- How long will I have to have braces?
- What is the cost?
Our goal is to answer all your questions about treatment at this visit. After our Treatment Coordinator has completed explaining your treatment options, we will need to take our diagnostic records. This consists of additional x-rays, photos and a model of your teeth. The following appointment will be made to place the appliances.
